THANK YOU FROM ALLIANCE MEMBERS AND PARTNERS AND INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE ACTIVITIES
On behalf of the members of the Alliance and those joining the new
National Partnership, we want to thank the nation's Governors, Mayors,
County Administrators and State Chief Information Officers, for your
past interest in and support for our work on regulatory streamlining.
We hope that you find this fourth annual report and the work products it
contains to be useful tools in your efforts to protect your citizens,
promote the growth of your communities and better recover from future
disasters that may impact your region. The materials on this CD-ROM have
been cross-referenced for ease of use and the link to our new website
will provide you and your staff with updated information and our future
work products.
We hope too that you will share this CD-ROM report with your staff who
are responsible for public safety, economic development, disaster
management and information technology and encourage them to become
active participants in our ongoing project. Information on how to join
the Alliance/National Partnership and on our high level national
conference on streamlining will be posted to our new website:
www.natlpartnerstreamline.org in mid-August.
We also want to thank again the National Governors Association, National
Association of Counties, U.S. Conference of Mayors and National
Association of State Chief Information Officers for their input to our
work and for distributing this year's annual report to their members.
Lastly we want to thank all of our current and past Alliance members and
the new organizations and companies that are joining our effort for
their input and support to the production of this CD-ROM and many of the
streamlining materials that it contains. We especially want to thank
the past and present Alliance members who have sponsored the production
of these reports: the U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Housing
and Urban Development, National Institute of Standards and Technology,
White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Committee on
